DCON Slide Show Pictures

Hello Cal-Nev-Ha!

Richard, your Convention Chair here and I have an announcement about our Convention Slide Show. I know you might think it's too early for convention work, but it's important that you guys start sending in the pictures you want us to put in the slide show! So here is how you should send us pictures:

Send an email to dconshow@gmail.com with the following subject line: "School Name-Month-Year". Here is an example of how it should be formated:

UCI - July - 2008

In your email, attach a zip file of a maximum of 25 pictures from the events of that month. In addition, in the body, write the following: 1) a list of events from the pictures in the zip file and 2) the category of events (i.e. service, social, etc).

So start sending in pictures after each month so we can start making an awesome slide show for the convention!

DSSS Invitation to Graduated High School Seniors

To all GRADUATED high school seniors(Only graduated KEY CLUBBERS AND KIWIN'S are invited) in or around the Anaheim area,

My name is Bubba and I am the 2008-2009 District Service Chair for the California Nevada Hawaii District of Circle K International. I want to extend an invitation to any and all graduating seniors in and around the Anaheim area to join us for one AWESOME day at our District Summer Service Social (DSSS) to be held on August 15th, 2008 in Anaheim, CA!

What is DSSS all about you ask? Basically, members from all across the District will be gathering together to help uplift the city of Anaheim through amazing service projects, at Kiwanis District Convention, and by partying it up Circle K style!! So make sure you make the time to join us August 15th, 2008 in Anaheim,CA because if you don't you will regret it : o It will be off the heezy!!

How do you register?

Please make sure to send an soft copy of your registration to myself @ service@cnhcirclek.org and a hard copy by mail with a $5 check or money order (no credit cards or debit cards will be accepted) made out to: Cal-Nev-Ha Circle K and on the memo line of the check put: DSSS to:

President's Retreat

Hello Cal-Nev-Ha!

Last weekend 40 of your presidents, representatives and district board members went to Santa Barbara to go camping for presidents retreat.

We had an amazing time bonding with each other through ice breaker activities, barbecuing, and just being silly of course, CKI style.


Some of the highlights at President's retreat:

--The infamous "Death Hike"

--Chris almost eating a fly while talking

--Camille coming out to go camping with us

--We learned that Alex Chu has an evil twin occasionally known as E.T. Mac.

--Ripping Honyin's tent

--Everyone getting to know each other and making friendships that will last through the year.


It was an awesome experience getting to know everyone on a personal level and hopefully when you're president next year, you'll get to have the same experience. ;-)
